Five steps for data scientists to converse with confidence in virtual interviews

Congratulations that you have received a job interview invite! If you are worried about how you would handle the conversations or worried about your performance during the interview, this post is for you. I am sharing some practical tips that will increase your confidence and improve your performance right away.

There are five main steps to cover the conversations during the interview: preparation, introduction, answer questions from the interview panel, ask questions, and wrap up the interview.

Step 1: Preparation

It’s important to fully prepared.

Step 2: Self-introduction

Storytelling is important.

Step 3: Answer interviewers’ questions

This will cover the majority of the interview with back and forth conversations between you and your interviewers.

Step 4: Ask questions

Usually, you will have the opportunity to ask a couple of questions toward the end of the interview.

Step 5: Wrap up the interview
